Fiambalá, Province of Catamarca

Fiambalá,which in the language of the indigenous peoples of the area means "water that penetrates the mountain" is a small town located a few kilometers from the city of Tinogasta in Catamarca province.
It is located at 1.505 m.a.s.l and in addition to its mild micro-climate and warmth, has a unique spice that makes it ideal to visit: its hot springs

The hot springs formed from water that descend from the mountain, with water temperatures ranging between 38 °C to 70ºC and mineral properties that make them highly recommended for their healing powers.

The area, which was named by its first Aborigines as "PIANWALLÁ" now has a stable population of nearly 3000 people, who are spread throughout the town and both sides of the road that connects with Tinogasta.

But not only the hot springs are the things that make Fiambalá an interesting place to visit, the huge olive groves and vineyards stand the sight of the visitor, as well as centuries-old adobe buildings are still standing and now form part of the "Ruta del Adobe", a major attraction in the province of Catamarca.

Besides the baths, visitors can not fail to visit the Church of San Pedro, which is the main architectural monument of the area, which has colonial architecture and features paintings and pictures brought during the time of the Virreinato del Alto Peru, around the year 1770.

Also, the town's main square, the municipality, the Comandacia de Armas (Command of Weapons) and the Museo del Hombre are some of the points the visitor can visit during your stay in place.
