Tango World cup held in Buenos Aires




The Tango world Cup, which had its presentation on Sunday, yesterday experienced its first day of qualifying rounds. And the Obras stadium Works, which has long had in recent sports and music shows became a huge dance floor.

There were 60 couples that removed the chip to the floor in the 12 rounds of the category Tango Lounge, which opened competition. There are dancers from different parts of the country and many foreigners. Between 14 and 21, many people came to enjoy the spectacle. The entry to the qualifying rounds is free, so those who could not go on the first day of Tango Lounge, now have a second chance.

Tomorrow and Thursday will be the turn of couples competing in the category Tango Scenario. Of the qualifying rounds, semi-finals will be 50 pairs of Hall and 34 Tango Tango scenario. In both categories will join other sites arising from the interior, exterior and the Metropolitan Championship. Also in Obras Stadium develops competition-the final will be at Luna Park, there is also activity in Harrods. There are offered concerts, dance classes and samples of works in process renowned choreographers: today at 19.30 will be Carlos Borquez.

  1. This is one reason why I want to visit Argentina. There is supposed to be a tango show this Friday here in small town Borgosesia, but I don't know if we will have the chance to dance or just watch.
